let me tell you mine..
Hi, I’m Caitlin — the photographer behind CJ Photography Maine.
Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. What started with a disposable camera as a kid grew into a passion through graphic design, creative storytelling, and eventually building a business centered around capturing real, meaningful moments.
I specialize in family, couples, portrait, and senior photography throughout Maine. My style is warm, natural, and connection-focused — the genuine laughs, quiet in-between moment
When I was 5 years old, I was given a disposable camera to bring along on a family trip to Florida. I became fascinated with this new power I was given, to freeze moments in time.
I carried my passion with me throughout the years and I eventually went digital one Easter morning when there was a new camera in my Easter basket. My fascination continued to grow and before long, I was bringing a camera everywhere I went!
In high school, I dove into photography and graphic design, simultaneously learning how to edit photos on a computer and playing around with film and dark room techniques. I bought my very first DSLR senior year and headed to college.
During college, I spent a semester abroad in Auckland, New Zealand where I continued my education with studio set ups, lighting practice, and photo walks with friends.
After graduation, I moved to Maine where I still enjoy my super power of freezing time. I am so grateful that I am able to share my view of the world, the view through my lens, with you!
